Consulates ask for your recent salary slips to establish that you have a stable job and sufficient income to support yourself during the trip, and importantly, strong ties to your home country to ensure your return.

Embassies generally look for official, well-formatted salary slips. The slips should clearly state your name, your employer's name and logo, your designation, and a detailed breakdown of your earnings and deductions (including tax/TDS). Consistency is key; the income reflected on the slips should match the deposits shown in the bank statements you provide.

Depending on the consulate's specific rules, digital or system-generated slips might be acceptable, but some may still require physical copies that are officially stamped and signed by your HR department or authorized signatory.
